When class had let out, the first thing that Maddie had done was pick up fabric from the store because she knew that she was going to need it. This was going to be a surprise for her bestest friend in the whole wide world. Not even moving a country away from each other could keep them apart. Maddie had known as soon as she had graduated that she would be moving to be with her other half. That was what they were to each other. She couldn't be Mad Alice without Mattie being there to make her smile. Driving over to the apartments, she ran up to the apartment with a grin on her face. This was definitely going to be memorable. Not even surfing could make her smile this much.
As she got there, she let herself in with a bright smile on her face. The blonde set down the bag heaping with swatches as well as yards not really sure what she was going to use yet for her design. There was a picture in her head, but she wanted to make sure it was perfect for the person she was making it for. Maddie stretched out her back a little before moving through the apartment. "It's just me! Don't worry I'm not going to attack you or whatever!" She chuckled before moving into the kitchen examining the contents of the fridge. "You know your brother really needs to go grocery shopping, or we can go while I'm here. How do you feel about take-out? I could go for some noodles."
This was what she normally did whenever she came over to the apartment. It was like a second home for her to her dorm. In fact, she was pretty sure that she spent more time here than in her dorm with her roommate, which was probably a better living situation for the both of them. She ran her fingers through her hair pulling it into a messy knot to keep it out of her eyes while she worked. In her messenger bag she had the tools she would need to work with. Plus, she had thought to keep her sewing machine here to be able to work in peace.
"Now, get your awesome ass out here because I have a surprise for you that I think you're going to liiiiike." She grinned knowing that she wouldn't have her life any other way. Mad Alice Bell couldn't even imagine what her life would have been like had she never met Mathilda St.James. It probably would have been an empty existence where she would have floated through life doing exactly what her family asked her. Instead, Mattie gave her the courage and confidence to fight for what she wanted to be in life. That was why she was at this college studying fashion doing what she loved more than life itself.
