NIGHT'S UNFOLDING ARMS. DARKNESS
darkness every where, do you feel all alone? the subtle grace of gravity, the heavy weight of stone.

’Sure,’ the professor replied before returning to her papers. Serenity let out a nervous laugh and left before she started to panic. The music room was only two door down from the room she was at. If she was lucky, there would be no one in the hallway. In other states, she didn’t have to worry about friendly people talking to random strangers in the hallway, but California had proved to be different. A shiver ran through her spin at the thought.
Luckily, the hallway was nearly bear. A few people loitered but they were in pairs and talking. As quickly as her feet could take her. She slipped in the open room and flipped up the light switch. The room was smaller than she expected, but with a high ceiling. A sleek, black piano laid directly in the center, and she could feel it calling to her. It had been too long since she had enjoyed just the present of such a piano. Something within her stirred happily.
She took a few steps until she reached its lid. With a finger, she stroked it lightly. Serenity moved lightly over to the seat, sitting carefully and gently. The ivory keys sparkled lightly at her, bringing a soft smile to her face. A delightful noise slipped out of her mouth as she touched the keys. This would always be, by far, the most exciting and genuine feeling anyone could every fell, to her. Before she knew it, a sonata or two slipped out from under her fingertips.
